A natural born competitor, Amanda Douglas is always moving and pushing forward. She is not only committed to achieving her own goals—but thrives when helping others train their minds and bodies to achieve excellence, give every endeavor their all, and live their best life possible. Originally hailing from Cypress, Texas, Amanda decided to make a big move to LA in 2010.   Here, she was introduced to the world of CrossFit, Gymnastics, and Olympic Lifting. Finding herself intrigued, she also realized she excelled in these sports and built upon her long history of being a dancer. Assembling a competitive CrossFit team, she started to rake in the medals and the accolades—and it occurred to her that she could seriously help others improve their health, athletic capabilities, and wellness.

Today, Amanda loves sharing all that she has learned about fitness and athleticism with her clients. She finds herself truly at home when she coaches those who put their trust in her and she couldn’t be happier than when she watches a client make progress and reach new goals that they never thought possible.

Amanda appreciates the quality of movement and just as she holds herself to high standards, the same can be said for what she expects out of the people she coaches and trains. She is always concerned about how to help fellow athletes of all experience levels realize satisfaction and happiness through exercise coupled with lifestyle changes. As such, Amanda prides herself not only on her ability to offer the utmost in professional coaching, but also help her clients have fun, feel included, and of course, know they are always supported.

MY WORK & PASSIONS

Amanda is an instructor at Brick Los Angeles and CrossFit Hollywood where she works with groups and individuals of different weights, ages and genders and a range of fitness goals. She is certified as a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and has multiple certificates in CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Gymnastics and CrossFit Olympic Lifting.

Her superpower? The ability to identify each person’s passion so she can inspire everyone to be their best and achieve personal goals. She does everything from developing sports programs for at-risk youth to helping runners train for marathons. Amanda’s clients love that she pushes them further than they ever thought they could go. “Achieve a feat you never thought possible,” she says. And somehow, they do.

Dance sparked Amanda’s love of coaching. Her unique client connection comes out of her own fitness journey, when she personally experienced the transformative power of training. Through this discipline, she learned the value of proper body mechanics and engaging her inner core. She felt healthier—and happier. The power and strength of the mind-body connection allowed Amanda to take more control of her dancing—an advantage that propelled her from teen in a small Texas town to top trainer.

Amanda applies these concepts not only to physical training, but all aspects of her life. She believes in a holistic approach to wellness and thinks it has the best chance to flourish when we strengthen the mind-body balance. Amanda is dedicated to total-life solutions comprising all aspects of living well, including fitness, nutrition, self-care.
